Lotto 6/49 is a Canadian national lottery launched on June 12, 1982. It was the first national lottery in Canada that allowed players to choose their own numbers, replacing the pre-printed ticket system used before.
How to Play:
Number Selection: Each $3 CAD ticket includes a classic selection of six numbers chosen by the player from 1 to 49, along with a randomly generated 10-digit Lucky Ball number.
Prize Structure:
Classic Draw: The starting jackpot is $5 million CAD. To win, you must match all six numbers drawn.
Lucky Ball Draw: This prize starts at $10 million CAD and can grow up to $68 million CAD. Each Lucky Ball number has a chance of being drawn, which could result in the jackpot or a fixed $1 million prize.
Draw Frequency: Lotto 6/49 draws take place twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, at 10:30 PM (local time)
